Registration fee: $10.00 (Ten Dollars) per individual athlete or $25.00 (Twenty-five Dollars) for each team. If paying by check, make check to "Balboa Academy" and note Inter-school Triathlon in the notes line.

Registration date:  Registrations submitted by Wednesday, March 29, 2006 will be accepted without additional charge.  Registrations submitted on Thursday, March 30, or Friday, March 31 will incur a late-fee of $5 per individual and $10 per team.
Registration includes: A swim cap for all swimmers,  T-shirt, Number for your bicycle and the run, Prizes and raffle

Brief description of event rules

DISTANCES: Ages are determined by the child's age on Dec. 31, 2006.

 * Ages 8 and above will have a bicycle course that runs partially on the road.
L = Laps, shorter course of approx. 2.5 km.
LL = Long Laps, longer course of approx. 4 Km.

PRIZES:

  • Plaque for three top finishers in each age group: Individual (Male and Female). Teams/relay (Male, Female and Mixed).

  • Medals for all who finish the course: Trophy for the school with the most points at the end of the competition.
  • Raffle of prizes for all athletes with items supplied by sponsors.
  • Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of all events.

Participating athletes should include a proof of age with their registration and parents must sign the waiver.  Points will be awarded to schools by the following formula (for individual and team events):

1st. place = 9 points   -   2nd. place = 7 points   -   3rd. place = 6 points   -   4th. place = 5 points

5th. place = 4 points   -   6th. place = 3 points   -   7th. place = 2 points   -   8th. place = 1 points

Notes:
  • Race packets will not be available on the day of the race and there will be no refunds for those who fail to pick up their race packet.

  • The category 5-7 years will not earn points toward the team total.

  • Attendance at the pre-race briefing is required.
